History

The Maritime Technology Cluster of Friuli Venezia Giulia region – also known as mareFVG, is a limited liability consortium with a growing number of private and public stakeholders, operating in the maritime technologies domain at regional and national level.

Our mission is to help the excel of our territory, facilitating the dialogue between enterprises, research centers, education institutions, citizens and public administration, with reference to the maritime technologies domains: shipbuilding, boatbuilding, offshore, transports, infrastructures, logistics, services for navigation and yachting; thematic domain part of the broader Blue Growth field.

The administration of Friuli Venezia Giulia region recognizes the importance of cluster as fundamental instruments for the develop of networking economies, synergies and the improvement of the competitiveness of the territory. For this reason, mareFVG has been identified as primary actor of the S3 – research and innovation strategies for smart specialization for maritime technologies.

The quality of our activities has been recognized at international level with the silver label of the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis, which testifies our cluster management capability.
