Vessel design perspectives: solar boats and greener ships

The wevinar prsents the activities of two international affiliated companies of the cluster: GloMarine and iCat.

iCat company develops innovative, energy efficient and environmentally-friendly projects in the maritime sector, applying technologically advanced and economically efficient solutions.
The company has been set-up in 2011 and in 2018 started the production in Zagreb (Croatia). In 2019 iCat delivered three electrical solar vessels for the National park of Mljet (Croatia).
Their “iCat Technology” has been awarded and their “solarCat” vessel was finished and presented in 2020.

GLO Marine is an agile naval architecture & design company that offers a range of tailor-made engineering services to small and medium shipyards and shipowners.
GLO Marine is organized in 2 teams: a detail design team of 22 engineers with hands-on experience in vessel design in more than 10 international shipyard standards and all major types of vessels, and a versatile team of 8 naval architects and structural engineers focusing on mobilisations, conversions and retrofits.
